The Philippines has become one of the favorite destinations of all medical students who wish to pursue medicine from abroad. Students who have completed their education up till class 12, can finish their MD in Philippines in 5 and a half or 6 years.

MBBS in Philippines is divided into 2 parts – BS and MD.

STEP 1 – BS COURSE

The Bachelor of Science course (BS COURSE) is completed within 1.5-2 years, depending upon the university you are studying in. This step focuses on building the foundation of the students. The BS course helps students acquire a strong medical education.

During the clinical rotations, students are attached to selected hospital departments and they need to treat patients under the guidance and supervision of a presently practicing doctor, who acts as their mentor and supervisor.

A lot of Indian students also get confused about the BS-MD program, and worry about appearing for MEET twice to study MBBS in Philippines. However, for your information, MCI has clarified that the NEET score is valid for 3 years for Foreign Medical Admissions. Which means, that students do not need to appear for NEET again and again.
